The practice of Zen meditation is called zazen which literally means "sitting meditation".  Zazen is the wonderful practice of wide open awareness.  As the 18th century Zen master Menzan Zuiho wrote, When you practise and learn the reality of zazen thoroughly, the frozen blockage of the illusory mind will naturally melt away.
